Middle Keys Sailing Revitalizes Marathon’s 33rd Street Peninsula with Texstyleroofs

Visitors to the 33rd Street boat ramp in Marathon are in for a pleasant surprise. Thanks to the efforts of sailors and their supporters, the once-neglected gulfside peninsula has undergone a remarkable transformation. What was once an eyesore has been revitalized into a stunning oasis, all made possible by the collaboration between Middle Keys Sailing and Texstyleroofs.

Gone are the days of enduring the relentless summer sun without reprieve. Now, visitors can bask in the beauty of the surroundings while seeking shelter under a massive shade structure provided by Texstyleroofs. Landscaped with pea rock and adorned with brand-new Adirondack chairs, the peninsula offers a tranquil retreat for all who visit.

Middle Keys Sailing has grown exponentially, with 67 students enrolled in its camps and instructional programs and a fleet of approximately 25 boats in its educational armada. Breaking the stereotype of sailing as an exclusive sport inherited by a select few, Middle Keys Sailing welcomes students from all walks of life. The organization is committed to inclusivity, making accommodations for students with disabilities and providing translation services for those who do not speak English.

With Texstyleroofs’ support, Middle Keys Sailing continues to expand its reach, bringing the joy of sailing to all who wish to experience it. Together, they have transformed the 33rd Street Peninsula into a vibrant community hub, where people can come together, connect with nature, and enjoy the beauty of the Florida Keys.
